Ingredients
- The Cake:
- 1 box (15.25 oz) Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 small package (3.4 oz) Instant Vanilla Pudding mix
- 4 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Cold Water
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Dark Rum
- 2 tbsp Fresh Rosemary, finely minced
- 1 tbsp Orange Zest
- The Glorious Glaze:
- 1/2 cup Butter (1 stick)
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Dark Rum
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
- Mix: Combine all cake ingredients in a large bowl. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake: Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
- The Glaze: While the cake is cooling, melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in the rum.
- Finish: Prick the top of the warm cake with a fork or skewer and slowly pour the warm glaze over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
